Black borders

Black borders

A matte black border on the inside of the glass, applied as film oversize and trimmed exactly to size. Crisper and faster than primer.

Glass renovation

Chips, pits and grinding spatter repaired with resin and UV light; scratches and haze polished away. Without replacing the window.

Glass polishing

Glass polishing

We polish scratches, deposits and contamination out of the glass until it is optically clear again. On board, without replacing the window.

Interior wrapping

Interior wrapping

A new finish for panels, furniture and walls: wrapped with high-quality interior film, without replacement and without a refit.

Interior protection

Interior protection

Transparent, self-healing film on marble, stainless steel, lacquer and wood. Invisible protection against scratches and wear.

Exterior protection

Transparent, self-healing film on cap rails, steps, platforms and paintwork. Stops scratches before they reach the paint.

Glass coating

Transparent coating that protects the glass against moisture, salt and limescale: water beads off, dirt adheres less and cleaning is easier.

Glass protection

About Finestra

Finestra International specialises in glass and film on board superyachts. We polish scratches and deposits out of the glass and repair pits and chips with resin, without taking the window out. We also protect glass, interior and paintwork with film and coating, and apply black borders and interior wrapping. Only the best is good enough, and you can see it in the result.

We first assess on board what is going on and then advise honestly on what is achievable: polishing, grinding or repairing, and which film or coating makes sense to prevent new damage, also during a refit.

FAQ

Questions we hear most often

Honestly, no: it is not possible. The type of glass, the depth and the length of a scratch determine the labour time, and those factors can only be properly assessed on board. We look at the glass first and then give you honest advice on approach and cost.
